Sea Salt

This was a doozy! Twelve brave souls went out in the pouring rain and had a blast riding 17 miles or so to from the Lake Harriet Bandshell to Sea Salt in Minnehaha Park. The rain was something none of us ever had the joy of riding through before.

It was absolutely pouring, but you wouldn't know it from the photos. Pictures were just about impossible with the devices we had along -- Barb's cell phone died. Further down, the creek busted its banks, big time. The boys wanted to try and go through it, but it kept getting deeper and we'd had enough adventure for one day!

The icing on the cake was the sun coming out just as we pulled into our driveway at the end.

Some of the gang taking a quick reprieve from the deluge of rain, under the Nokomis Rec Center overhang.

Flooded Minnehaha Creek on stretch between Lyndale Ave and Lynnhurst Park. The trail was clear on the way to Sea Salt and in this condition on the way back.
